Students personal data is only stored on our servers which are hosted on Amazon Web Services and feature all the latest security protocols. Our Hosting Providers – AWS are ISO/IEC 27001:2013 compliant. This data is not shared with any other third party.

Information required for a Komeer Customer Account:
When setting up an Komeer account the following data is required;

- Address
- Phone Number
To complete the setup of your account you will be required to provide details of;
- Parents/Guardians Names

These requirements will allow you to communicate with the Parents/Guardians of the children using the Komeer service.

By providing your children’s details you are giving consent to store their details on secure Amazon Web Services EU.
When you provide these details it allows your School/Club/Creche or Business to communicate with you via the Komeer App.
If you don’t want to provide us with personal data, you don’t have to, but it might mean you can’t use some parts of our websites or services.
Personal Information Collection
Information we collect automatically: We collect some information about you automatically when you visit our websites or use our services
- Device ID
- Operating System – Android, iOS.
- Browser type
Single sign-on. We may receive your personal details from a third party Single sign-on authentication service, Facebook and Google+. We also collect information when you navigate through our websites and services, including what pages you looked at and what links you clicked on. This information is useful for us as it helps us get a better understanding of how you’re using our websites and services so that we can continue to provide the best experience possible (e.g., by personalising the content you see).
Parents/students information is only collected through our app and not the website. The Komeer app does not contain any external 3rd Party Ads providers nor any use of behavioral targeting or Geo Location Targeting, so any information provided will not be used in this way. Komeer does not profile any information collected nor does it promote internal App marketing ads through the app platform, this information will only ever be used for educational purposes between you and your school, creche etc.
Your Children’s Data
How we collect your children's data and why?
Children’s data can be collected and stored in two different ways;
- When the School/Club/Creche or Organisation imports your children’s data into their Komeer account in order for them to communicate with you regarding your child.
- When a Parent/Guardian creates an account/registers on the Komeer App.
When registering your children you will need to provide their;
- First Name
- Middle Name (Optional)
- Last Name
By providing your children’s details you are giving consent to store their details on secure Amazon Web Services EU. When you provide these details it allows your School/Club/Creche or Organisation to communicate with you via the Komeer App. If you don’t want to provide us with personal data, you don’t have to, but it might mean you can’t use some parts of our websites or services.
You Control Your Data
You have full control of your data at all times
App and dashboard users have full control of their own data. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time and you will no longer receive any contact from us if required.
Parents/Guardians can update and edit or delete:
- Name
- Home Address
- Phone Number
- Subscribe to Groups
- Unsubscribe from Groups
- Edit Children’s Names
- Add Children
- Remove Children
- Remove all data by deleting their account instantly directly from within the app without having to contact the School/Club/Creche etc.
Schools/Clubs/Creches or other Organisations can update and edit or delete:
- Name
- Contact Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- App Users Name
- App Users Address
- App Users Email
- App Users Phone Number
- Children’s Names
- Create Private and Public Groups
- Add or remove Groups
- Remove all data by deleting their account instantly directly from within the Dashboard without having to contact Komeer.
You can also contact [email protected] at any time to delete your data and remove your details from our system.
How Long We Hold Your Data
The length of time we keep your personal data depends on what it is and whether we have an ongoing business need to retain it.......
Komeer will retain the Client (School, Creche) contact name and contact details for CRM purposes for the current year plus 2 years, and details for Revenue for a maximum of 7 years (required by State Law) after you have terminated your account with us.
Parents/students personal information will not be retained by Komeer once they are finished using our service. In compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), parents/students have the option within the Komeer app to edit, unsubscribe or delete their data at anytime and this will automatically update the database.

Komeer Payments
Komeer Payments are collected via ‘Stripe’ with the highest level of security protection PC1 (Level 1)

Komeer have created this privacy policy which outlines how we obtain and process any information we may collect. This privacy policy is designed for easy navigation and clearly explains how your data is processed and retained.

Under the new GDPR guidelines all data that is stored must always be kept up to date, Komeer have made this very easy for Customer accounts and app users.
Account holders have access to all data which can be updated or edited at any time.
App users can edit their profile details at any time and any changes they make will automatically update in the customers account e.g. School, Creche, Club etc.
4 The right to erasure
The right to erasure is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’. Once again Komeer have made this very easy to manage for both Customer accounts and app users.
Account holders have the option to delete their account at any time which will erase all data that is attached to their account.
App users also have the option to delete their account within the app which will erase and data they have stored and this will automatically update in the customers account e.g. School, Creche, Club etc.
5 The right to restrict processing
Under the DPA, Parents/Customers have a right to ‘block’ or suppress processing of personal data. The restriction of processing under the GDPR is similar. When processing is restricted, Komeer are permitted to store the personal data, but not further process it.

6 The right to data portability
The right to data portability allows individuals to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services. It allows them to move, copy or transfer personal data easily from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way, without hindrance to usability.
Komeer will provide all data requested in the form of an Excel or CSV file format.

Customers/Parents have the right to object to:
- Processing based on legitimate interests or the performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of official authority (including profiling).
- Direct marketing (including profiling).
